THE PROCESS

THE INTRODUCTION

If you’ve fallen in love with Holly’s designs, you’re invited to begin with a personal conversation - either over the phone or online. This is a relaxed opportunity to explore your wedding cake vision, discuss inspiration, and discover how Holly can bring your ideas to life.

During this initial conversation, Holly will:
Provide transparent guidance on pricing, tailored to both bespoke wedding cakes and luxury dessert tables.
Outline the next steps in the design journey.

To secure your wedding date in Holly’s diary, a £200 booking fee is required. This fee will be deducted from your final balance.

THE CONSULTATION

Your formal consultation will take place approximately 8–12 months before your wedding day and will be held virtually, allowing you to connect from wherever you are.

Ahead of your consultation, you’ll receive a beautifully presented Wedding Cake Discovery Box, featuring a curated selection of Holly’s signature flavours to enjoy from the comfort of your home.

During your consultation, Holly will:
Get to know you as a couple - your story, style, and wedding vision.
Discuss your inspirations, theme, and overall wedding aesthetic.
Guide you through design possibilities, flavour pairings, and presentation styles.

This dedicated session ensures your vision and Holly’s artistry align seamlessly, laying the foundation for your one-of-a-kind creation.

THE DESIGN

Following your consultation, Holly will create a bespoke design sketch and provide a detailed quotation tailored to your chosen style, size, and flavours. This stage is where your wedding cake vision is brought to life — transforming ideas into a beautifully realised design that reflects your love story.

THE FINAL DETAILS

Around three months before your wedding, Holly will reconnect to confirm every last detail -liaising directly with your planner, florist, and venue to ensure seamless coordination. Then, approximately one month before your wedding day, Holly will check in once more to confirm the finer details of delivery and setup, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.

THE DELIVERY

On your wedding day, your cake will be hand-delivered and professionally set up. Every delivery is handled with the utmost care and discretion to ensure your statement wedding cake is perfectly presented — ready to turn heads, spark conversation, and become one of the unforgettable moments of your celebration.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should I book? Holly’s wedding cakes are thoughtfully curated and entirely bespoke, crafted with an exceptional level of detail and care. To ensure your design receives the time, artistry, and consideration it deserves, we recommend securing your date at least twelve months before your wedding. This allows space to refine your vision, perfect your design, and shape every element with intention. Should you require a shorter lead time, and our schedule allows, we will always do our utmost to accommodate you.

Can I have a different flavour per tier? Yes, in fact, Holly recommends it. Offering a variety of flavours not only gives your guests something to talk about, but also means more of your cake actually gets eaten and enjoyed. It’s a delicious, creative way to cater to different tastes while keeping your design cohesive.

Can I use fresh flowers on my cake? Yes, absolutely. Holly will liaise directly with your florist to ensure everything is done safely and beautifully. It’s worth noting that not all flowers are suitable for use on cakes, so Holly will work closely with you and your florist to choose the right blooms that complement your design - without compromising safety.

Do you offer gluten free, vegan or eggless cakes? Yes, Holly accommodates gluten free, vegan and eggless options, and any dietary requirements can be discussed during your consultation. However, while Holly can clean down and prepare with care, her kitchen is not certified allergen-free. This means that while every precaution is taken, she cannot guarantee that there will be no trace of allergens.

How much are your cakes? Each cake Holly creates is entirely bespoke, designed with meticulous attention to detail and crafted to reflect the essence of your celebration. Because every creation is unique, pricing varies depending on elements such as size, intricacy, design time, sugar artistry, and travel requirements. As a guide, Holly’s one-of-a-kind bespoke wedding cakes begin at £800.

Can we taste your cakes? A curated tasting experience is an integral part of your wedding cake journey. Once your date is secured, you’ll be invited to a virtual consultation, accompanied by a luxe Wedding Cake Discovery Box delivered straight to your door. If you’d prefer to enjoy a tasting box before committing, this can also be arranged (subject to availability); however, please note that it does not reserve your date.

Where do you deliver? While Holly is based in Somerset, she delivers across the UK. She regularly delivers to London, Hampshire, the Cotswolds, Devon and Dorset, but is happy to travel further afield if required. Every delivery is personally handled with care to make sure your cake arrives exactly as it should: perfect.
