If you’re planning an Arabic wedding – whether in London, across the UK, or internationally – you'll already understand the importance of scale, presence and detail. For many Arabic and Gulf weddings in particular, the celebration is layered, multi-day, and seen as a full experience.
These are celebrations that don’t hold back, and here at Cake Design by Holly Miller, I believe your wedding cake should reflect that. I design luxury wedding cakes that are created to sit confidently within the grandeur of these settings. Not just something beautiful, but something that feels worthy of the setting, the atmosphere, and the expectations that come with the significance of the occasion.

Designed for Scale and Detail
Large guest numbers, statement venues, multiple events – scale often plays a big role at Arabic weddings. But for me, it’s never just about size. The most memorable designs balance scale with intricacy. Tall tiered structures, extended designs or multiple cake installations create presence, but it’s the detail that draws people in. Fine piping, layered textures, intricate sugar flower work – these are the elements that guests stop and look at.
Opulence at Every Moment
For some couples, more really is more – and that’s something I understand (and fully embrace). Opulence can be bold, detailed and expressive. Intricate piping, baroque-inspired detailing, metallic finishes and sculptural elements all come together to create designs that feel rich and immersive. At the same time, structure matters. Clean edges, considered proportions and balance ensure the cake still feels refined – no matter how elaborate the design becomes. The result is a cake that feels luxurious, striking and significant in every way.
A Cake to Match
Every element of an Arabic wedding is designed to ‘wow’. The cake sits alongside florals, lighting, table design, and architecture, and it needs to work in total harmony with every detail. I always design with the setting in mind. Whether it’s a ballroom in London or a destination venue abroad, the cake is shaped around the space with the full setting in mind. Colour palettes, scale, and detail are all carefully considered so that the cake truly belongs to the celebration.

Sugar Flowers & Personal Details
For many of my Arabic wedding clients, florals are a central part of the design. Sugar flowers allow creativity to really steal the show with their colour palettes, scale and placement, ensuring the cake remains flawless throughout the event. Beyond that, I often incorporate personal elements into the design. Subtle motifs, cultural references, or details that reflect the couple’s story.
People don’t just walk past – they stop, look, and take it in. That’s always the aim. Not just a cake to be served, but something to experience.
A Design that is Remembered
A luxury Arabic wedding cake should always be remembered. Not just in photographs, but in the way it made people stop, look, and feel when they admire it. I design cakes that do exactly that. Sculptural, detailed, and made to sit confidently within a high-end celebration.
Discretion & Dietary Requirements
With many Arabic and Gulf weddings, there’s a wider dynamic to consider. I often work closely with family members – particularly mothers of the bride or groom – to ensure every detail aligns with expectations and traditions. Discretion is also often important. Many of my clients value privacy, and I approach every commission with that in mind. I also accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements, including egg-free designs, ensuring the cake works for everyone attending without compromising on finish or flavour.
